Whats Included
cruise back in time
Leave the busy Intracoastal behind and cruise into the Loxahatchee River, one of Florida’s two federally designated Wild & Scenic Rivers and one of Jupiter’s most beautiful waterways.
As we make our way upriver, the scenery gradually changes from waterfront homes to a lush, natural shoreline lined with mangroves, palms and towering cypress trees, with their distinctive cypress knees rising from the water. When conditions allow, we may also stop at the historic Trapper Nelson’s homestead, tucked away along the river and accessible primarily by boat. Keep an eye out for turtles, wading birds, manatees and other wildlife along the way. Captain Peggy will share some of the river’s stories and point out the sights, but there’s no rigid tour script or rush to get anywhere.
Settle in, enjoy the ride and experience a side of Jupiter that feels surprisingly far removed from modern South Florida — peaceful, scenic and unmistakably Old Florida.
Why blue bliss
THE RIVER, YOUR WAY
This isn’t a narrated tour with a set script. Captain Peggy has spent years cruising Jupiter’s waterways and will share the stories, wildlife and special places that make the Loxahatchee River so unique. Because your charter is completely private, there’s time to slow down, take in the scenery and enjoy the river at your own pace. When conditions allow, we may even stop at the historic Trapper Nelson’s homestead along the way.
