Frequently Asked Questions

🛥️ Charter Basics (Start Here)

What types of charters do you offer?

We offer customizable private pontoon boat charters including sightseeing tours, sandbar trips, wildlife cruises, and sunset cruises. Choose from 2 to 6-hour experiences tailored to your group.

Are your charters public or private?

All Blue Bliss Charters experiences are private and must be booked in advance. Your charter is reserved exclusively for you and your group—up to 6 guests total—so you can enjoy a comfortable, personalized cruise without sharing the boat with others.

What's included with my charter?

We provide a clean, spacious Bennington pontoon equipped with plush seating, a double bimini for shade, bluetooth stereo, a cooler (with ice upon request), and a floating water mat. Life jackets are provided for all guests over 30 lbs. Bring your own food, drinks, and towels—and let us take care of the rest!

How many people can join a charter?

Our standard charters accommodate up to 6 guests. For larger groups (7–9), we can provide an alternate licensed captain to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Please contact us for availability.

Where do I get on the boat?

Pick-up location varies based on the charter type, day of the week, and time. All departures are from a central location in either Jupiter or Juno Beach. The exact meeting point for your Blue Bliss Charters experience will be included in your confirmation and reminder emails. Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled time. If you’re running late, let us know as soon as possible.

can you pick us up at our home dock, hotel or a different location?

We’re happy to discuss alternate pick-up and drop-off locations for your charter whenever possible. If you’re staying at a waterfront home, hotel, or condo in Jupiter, let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate!

How long will we be on the boat?

Our Jupiter pontoon boat charters are flexible to fit your plans. All private charters are booked in hourly increments, with a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 6 hours. Whether you’re looking for a short scenic cruise or a half-day on the water, we’ll tailor the experience to your ideal timeframe.

Can we stay out longer than we originally booked?

We understand—once you’re out on the water, it’s hard to leave! If you’re enjoying your pontoon boat charter in Jupiter and want to extend your trip, we’ll do our best to accommodate. Extensions depend on our remaining schedule for the day and require payment for the additional time.

👨‍👩‍👧 Guest Requirements & Accessibility

Are children allowed on the boat?

Absolutely! Children and infants are welcome aboard our family-friendly pontoon charters in Jupiter, Florida. We love hosting families and multigenerational groups!

Please note:

  • All passengers, including children and infants, count toward the 6-guest maximum under USCG regulations.
  • Florida law requires children under age 6 to wear a USCG-approved life vest (Type I, II, or III) while the boat is in motion.
  • We provide life vests for children over 30 pounds. If your child weighs less than that, please bring a properly fitted flotation device.
Is the boat wheelchair accessible?

While the gates on our pontoon do not allow direct wheelchair access, we board from a floating dock, which makes it easier for many guests with limited mobility to step aboard. If someone in your group has accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can discuss options and ensure the most comfortable experience possible.

am I required to sign a waiver?

Yes, a waiver is required for every passenger. We are covered by an industry-standard insurance policy, which mandates that waivers be signed at the time of your charter. Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete the waiver process before boarding.

🧺 What to Bring & Expect Onboard

What should I bring?

To make the most of your Jupiter sightseeing or sandbar adventure, here’s what we recommend bringing:

  • Sunscreen lotion (please avoid aerosols—they tend to coat the boat and captain)
  • Beach towels
  • Snacks, meals & beverages (alcohol permitted for 21+ guests—please drink responsibly)
  • SunglassesHat for sun protection
  • Mask & snorkel (for sandbar or clear water stops)
  • Camera or smartphone (to capture those manatee or lighthouse sightings!)
What should I wear on the boat?

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is best. Bathing suits, sun-protective clothing, and sandals or water shoes are recommended. Don’t forget sunglasses and a hat!

Can I bring food and drinks on the boat?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board. A cooler is available for your use, and we’ll gladly fill it with loose ice upon request to help keep everything chilled. Adult beverages are allowed, but we ask that all guests drink responsibly. For safety, please avoid bringing glass containers if possible.

Can I bring my dog on the boat?

Absolutely! Blue Bliss Charters proudly offers pet-friendly boat charters in Jupiter, FL. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join your private pontoon cruise. Pups must remain leashed while underway, and we ask that they stay off the furniture. As the owner, you’re responsible for any cleanup or damage. Just let us know in advance that your furry friend is coming — we’ll be sure to have fresh water on board and make them feel right at home!

Is there shade on the boat?

Yes! Our luxury Bennington pontoon is equipped with a double bimini top that provides 15 feet of continuous shade, covering most of the boat’s seating area. Whether you’re cruising Jupiter’s scenic waterways or anchored at a sandbar, there’s plenty of protection from the Florida sun.

☀️ Prefer the sunshine? No problem—there’s space at the front and back of the boat to soak up some rays too!

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

Our pontoon boat does not have a restroom onboard. However, public restrooms are conveniently located at our primary pick-up and drop-off locations. We recommend planning accordingly before departure.

🌦️ Situational Questions

What if it rains?

A little rain won’t cancel your cruise! In South Florida, quick showers—especially during summer—are common. Unless the forecast predicts continuous rain all day, we usually proceed as planned.

Captain Peggy closely monitors weather conditions to ensure every charter remains safe and enjoyable. If a charter must be canceled due to weather, we’ll do our best to reschedule your trip or offer a refund for out-of-town guests.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that plans can change. If you cancel your charter 15 days or more in advance, you’ll have the option of a full refund or a credit toward a future trip.

For cancellations made less than 15 days before your scheduled charter, we’ll provide a credit for a future booking, but no refunds will be issued.

Is gratuity included in the price?

Gratuity is not included in the charter rate. Tips for exceptional service are always appreciated and go directly to your captain.

🐬 Tour Highlights

Will we see wildlife on our tour?

Many of our guests spot dolphins, manatees, turtles, and birds during their cruise! While sightings can’t be guaranteed, our local waters are rich with wildlife, especially on our sightseeing routes.
